The Mammoth
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a game created in only 10 hours as part of a game dev challenge on my YouTube channel - TheMagicTorch
Take control as a Mammoth and protect your young against waves of oncoming Cavemen swinging their clubs, and dangerous Sabretooths looking for their next meal.
Survive as long as you can and try to beat your time!
CONTROLS
WASD - Move
LMB (left mouse button) - Primary Attack
RMB (right mouse button) - Secondary Attack (AoE)
G - Toggle Young Mammoth Stay/Follow
With this game being made in only 10 hours, the game is lacking polish. You may experience some bugs (although none have been game-breaking from what I've seen), and there is a lot of room for improvement.
None the less, I do hope you are able to have fun with it and enjoy playing as a Mammoth!

Install instructions
The folder is a zip folder, so you will need to extract it. Open the folder and then double click the .exe/application. The game will open up.
If you experience some stuttering within the first few seconds, don't worry - this can happen when first launching the game due to shader compilations.

Loved the YT video! My 1060 struggles to play the game though, even in performance mode!

With it being only a 10 hour game I unfortunately wasn't able to spend as much time on performance as I would have liked. Having said that, if it's completely unplayable, I might look to do an update on it to try and resolve that issue.

It’s much more playable if I lower the resolution of my desktop, so yeah maybe a resolution picker would be a good choice in the future. Launching in 4k by default was pretty much why it was tanking so bad.
Perfectly playable framerate when I do performance mode + 1080p res.
